Welcome to December ~ Wishing You a Joyous Holiday Season and a Prosperous Year in 2005
I have been thinking all week about what I wanted to say to you as 2004 comes to a close, and the most important words I have to share are "Thank-you from the bottom of my heart".
I believe that it is a rare and beautiful gift to be able to sit here as I am right now and write to you a heartfelt letter about what this year has meant and what is in store for 2005. I am truly blessed by such wonderful people...family, friends, colleagues, clients, and a community of men and women who are so outstanding in such a variety of ways. Each of you has added such joy and strength to my life. For this gift, I am forever grateful to all of you for your continued support. As my friend Michael Port says "I love you all very much...and not in a wierd way!"
I cannot help but remember a telephone call that I had about two years ago with a man who told me that I would never make it as a coach, because I gave away too many resources and way too much of myself...that no one would ever pay me, because they were "getting the milk for free". That comment has stayed with me in a way that you will never know...It was actually a turning point in my professional career and one that has called me to live my professional life by a philosophy which many people call the law of Givers Gain. The premise to this philosophy, adopted by Ivan Misner, founder and CEO of Business International, suggests that in order to receive, we must first be willing to give. For me, this is what I feel life is all about...the giving of ourselves, our gifts, and our talents so that others may grow and so that our lives on earth are enhanced.
Of course the other half of this equation rests in our ability to receive. This law of give and take allows the universe to stay in balance, so as giving takes place, there is much to be received...in the form of knowledge, financial gain, love, understanding, and of course...growth. As I begin to move into 2005, I really do not have a strong plan, but I do know this: I am more committed than ever to working with business owners and leaders on how to build thriving businesses and how to live this beautiful process of Givers Gain. Each and every piece of knowledge and wisdom, every resource and contact, and every ounce of what I have is not to be hoarded...it is to be shared and given freely. This is what makes life so grand.
I want to take this time to thank some people in particular. Their presence in my life this year has called me to play a bigger game and to live more fully than I ever have before. Thank-you my dear friends...Your presence in my life is such an incredible gift.

Guiding Principle: Abundance
Abundance is a principle used to describe the property of a more than adequate quantity or supply. Many people equate abundance with financial wealth, yet I want to make clear that in this context, the word abundance means "more than an adequate quantity or supply to meet the financial demands you have for today". If you are making only enough money to pay your bills today, you will not have the ability to take care of the financial needs of emergencies/unforeseen circumstances, to give to others, or to enhance your own personal and professional life. In order to build an abundance in your financial environment, it will be crucial for you to:
- Secure your financial assets by being insured
- Protect your assets by diversifying your investments and shielding your taxable dollars
- Design your life so that multiple streams of income are being used to contribute to your financial well being (income from investments, royalties from books or products, affiliate fees, salary, and so on)
